Team Goals

Our team has developed a cross-platform mobile app in partnership with the Oconee River Land Trust for the Tallassee Forest Nature Preserve, a newly created park in northwest Athens. Our goal with this app is to engage the Athens community with this new park and educate them on the importance of conservation easements. To create our cross-platform app, we are leveraging the React Native library to develop for    Android and    iOS simultaneously.

Features

Interact with the park like never before.

  •    Navigate with 3 types of maps
  •    Play interactive games and activities
  •    Explore flora, fauna, and natural processes
  •    Track your progress exploring the property
  •    Get park information

Designed for iOS and Android

We developed the Tallassee Park Mobile App using   React Native - a branch of the React framework developed by Facebook to support seamless cross-platform development. You'll find every feature present in both versions of the App.

Branding

The Tallassee Forest Brand

This color palette forms the basis of our brand identity. We chose these closers to create a simple and earthy feel for our print materials, presentations, and applications. The palette encompasses the main colors people encounter in nature, thus giving users a feel of Tallassee Park at the touch of their fingers. We made sure to have a nice contrast in colors, with deeper tones such as Black Magic, Kombu Green, and Baja Blue, alongside our neutral colors Volkswagen Kalahari Beige, Tea Leaves, and Quarter Powder Blue.
